twink film (2014)- Wade Radford

TWINK (2014) has always punched above its 20.00(£) budget – Shot in four hours, ad-libbed and intentionally bare-bones, Wade Radford & Jason Impey’s ‘TWINK’ continues to sell worldwide eleven years later!

Jason Impey plays the role of a documentarian (heard but never seen), the camera his eyes, his vision, transporting you to the grimy and debauched world of former porn star Kayden ‘Quinn’ Daydream (Wade Radford).

As the bedroom door opens and the camera finds Quinn in bed, you are then taken through the stages of an interview that falls apart quickly and descends into chaos. Kayden discusses the abuse and exploitation of being a ‘TWINK’ far too young, and the feeling of being washed-up by an equally young age! Through his addictions to liquor, his drug use, and his evident personality disorder, Kayden launches a battle against the documentarian that leads to a diabolical conclusion.

It’d be too easy to say TWINK is just about pornography, no, Twink is more so a commentary on the exploitation of fly-on the wall, reality television, in which something ‘big’ is demanded for acclaim – Kayden understands this!

TWINK was released in 2014 in the United States on DVD, and though not an immediate sales success alike some of the duo’s former films, it started receiving the highest praise of any of their efforts. In 2016 it was released uncut in the United Kingdom on a special 500 edition DVD run. Since it has released numerous more releases in the UK & Europe.

TWINK is Wade’s defining role, and has built a cult following, remaining the duo of Radford & Impey’s most notorious film.
