The Wade Radford Archive

Wade is an uncompromising DIY raw artist in whatever format he works in. He is mostly associated with LGBT underground guerrilla film, and with his brutally unabashed poetry and prose.

First coming to public attention in 2012, he literally spat out a prolific succession of indie films from 2012-2020, most notably for his role in TWINK (2014) as Kayden ‘Quinn’ Daydream.

His other credits of that decade include three trash ‘Boys Behind Bars’ films (2013-2015), Last Chance at Paradise (2013), Caught in a Landslide (2017), The Lustful Dead (2015), Stranger Than Us (2019) and many more!

From 2020 onwards he made a collection of 8mm short films, known as the ‘Wade on 8’ series. These short pieces were intentionally shot on video – his own small rebellion against the take over of AI!

In 2024 he discovered a whole archive of tapes from the early 2000’s, and created the paranormal/historical documentary ’The Busby & Me’. He returned to the notorious Busby Stoop Inn and created a film using his formerly lost 8mm tapes, with brand new footage. The film went onto win Radford ‘best paranormal film’ at the world acclaimed Fortean Film Festival.

In 2026 he returned to his role as Darrell from the Boys Behind Bars series, playing him for a fourth time in the spin-off ‘Men Behind Bars’.

He is a photographic and poetical zine maker and has released over 100 zines featured in libraries globally. As well as his best selling nude polaroid series, he also released a journalistic zine investigating the life of former Manson Family member Paul Watkins, and what happened to him after he disappeared in the late 70’s to the Mojave desert. Wade continues to release films and zines. He works with communities weekly to encourage more grassroots activism through art.
