The Boys Behind Bars films don’t purport to be anything they aren’t!
Three Britsploitation trash underground gay flicks that mock the concept of film, employing a throwback to the old grindhouse and exploitation films of yesteryear!
The three films conceptualised by Radford and directed by Jason Impey were made between 2013 – 2015, releasing one film each year.
Wade as Darrell leads the series through all three films, playing diabolical from start to finish. In the second and third entries punk icon Honey Bane joins the ensemble as the fishnet wearing, shotgun wielding governor Mizz Alison Muncher.
From the semi serious nature of the first film, the two next entries became more warped and ‘balls to the wall’. The films take a certain sense of humour, preferably the dark kind…
Kinky young inmates, depravity, gore and queer power; people talk about these films… for better or worse!
Originally released individually in the United States on DVD, and then as a full collection in 2018, Boys Behind Bars soon after returned home to Europe on various releases from DVD, Blu Ray and multi packs.
